We use renewable source of energy at the terminal

"We expect the solar station to generate around 25% of the electricity needed to run the terminal per year. This will prevent the release of around 130 tons of CO2 that would be emitted from non-renewable sources," says Julius Kiršis, our terminal CEO.

As a consistent contributor to environmental sustainability, it was only natural that one of our strategic objectives was to install a solar power system to meet the terminal's energy needs from renewable sources.

Interesting facts:

A total of 771 photomodules have been put into operation on the roof of the MIT warehouse;
The total area covered by the solar power unit is 1 800 square metres;
The installation of the solar system took 4 months.
