The reconstruction of quay No. 142 will begin this summer.
Klaipėda State Seaport Authority has signed an agreement for contract works with UAB ,,Borta’’, that will carry out reconstruction works on the quay No. 142. used by MIT , adapting the quay to 14.5 m depth.
Prospective start of reconstruction works is in July 2019, the end – 2020 September.
After reconstruction of the quay and the deepening of the Malku Bay to 14.5m, MIT will be able to fully load Panamax sized vessels.
