New records were reached, ~ 1.15 million tons of cargo were handled.
The past year has been full of challenges for the MIT. One of the biggest – the organization of stevedoring works during the dredging of the Malkų Bay to the depth of 14.5m, but the entire team of the company handled the task well.
The biggest impact on the growth of cargo handling results was from the grain handling which returned to the levels of 2017.
Malkų Bay dredging and Quay No. 142 reconstruction project is well under way and is proceeding according to plan. After the completion, the project will provide new opportunities for our business, operating in the southern part of the harbor, to fully load Panamax-size vessels and to make even better use of available cargo handling capacity.
