On December 9-15 2012 at berth 142 JSC Malkų Įlankos Terminalas loaded 21'500 tons of wheat to ORIENT ALLIANCE vessel, registered under the Maltese flag (vessel length 180 m, width 30 m, maximum draught 9.8 m). This is the first vessel of this size (its maximum load capacity is 33'000 t) served in the history of JSC Malkų Įlankos Terminalas. Accepting this type of vessels at berth 142 (with a maximum draft of –9.9 m) became possible after the dredging of the water basin between the berths 142 and 143A to –11m by the Port Authority
