In July 2017, MIT opened a complex of agricultural services. Today we are delighted that 5 ml. Eur investments in the expansion and improvement of the spectrum of services pays off.During the 2017/2018 grain season, the new dryer dried more than 70,000 tones of various grains. Its capacity is about 120 tons of grain per hour.
During the 2017/2018 grain season, MIT handled over 600,000 tons of agricultural products and this is the second best result in company history after all record highs of 2015/2016, when more than 700,000 tons of grain were handled. Evaluating the fact, that harvesting of grain yield in the previous year was accompanied by heavy rain and weather conditions were extremely unfavorable, we are glad to achieve good result.
In the last season 80% of the cargo was delivered by road, so we can conclude that investments in the parking lot and the transfer of laboratories beyond the terminal proved to be successful. The amount of cargo delivered by road increased by 15%.
Due to the dry and hot weather, the start of the 2018/2019 grain season is extremely early and intense. We hope that despite the forecast for the reduced grain harvest, we will be able to maintain the results of last season's handling.
