We have welcomed a powerful new member to our team – the Sennebogen 865E crane.
This marks the final step in our completed equipment modernization phase: last year we acquired two Sennebogen 830 units.
“Next-generation cranes mean higher productivity, shorter service times, and greater flexibility in cargo handling planning. This brings direct value to our customers – we can ensure a more efficient process even as cargo volumes and vessel sizes continue to grow,” says our terminal CEO, Julius Kiršis.
What makes the Sennebogen 865E special?
• Reach – up to 25 m
• Lifting capacity – up to 23 t
• Particularly well-suited for efficient handling of timber and wood chips
• Adapted for higher volumes and increasing vessel sizes
In addition, the Sennebogen 865E Hybrid contributes to more sustainable terminal operations. Its energy recovery system captures and reuses energy generated when lowering the boom, reducing overall energy consumption by up to 50%. This helps lower emissions and can potentially avoid up to 105,000 kg of CO₂ emissions per year.
Until now, cargo handling operations at the terminal were carried out by 8 cranes.
